"Truthiness" in Politics
The American Dialect Society has determined the phrase of the year: truthiness.
I'm not sure who these people are, but they have just made it to my list of astute observers of the obvious, leaping ahead of the media and the entirety of the chattering class.
What, exactly, is truthiness, you ask? It is...
"...defined as the quality of stating concepts one wishes or believes to be true, rather than the facts."
I'm fairly certain that an oath of fealty to the concept is a requirement at the Republican Politician's School of Deception and that the above definition is the one line job description for White House Spokesman Scott McClellan.
