Good Thing We're Not Broke

My math skills, particularly when it comes to extrapolating somewhat nebulous costs with trillions involved, are severely limited, but jeez:

Iraq war could cost up to two trillion dollars: study

I'm sure some enterprising economist will give this study the Wolfowitz shuffle and zero it all out, but it's sure a good thing we've been running these huge surpluses. Oh, wait...

1st visit to your site.Interesting so far.Something that keeps coming back to me,relevant to this post, where is the oil money going? I'm aware of the "bushco is stealing it"feeling out there, but I've yet to see in the MSM or on blogs, where is this money going? This is a serious question and one I would really like to see answered.

I just throw this out there because you seem to be smarter and more plugged into the "internets"than me. I'll check back and see if anybody has an answer.

Peace

Thanks for the comments. There's alot of speculation on some sites about the oil money, (Bartcop.com keeps a running/daily tab but he seems to think it's going directly to W's 401K, so to speak). My own thoughts revolve around the record profits for the oil companies and the ever tightening noose around the necks of the people of the middle east by the Princes and Kings who get the revenue.

Thanks for reading - keep coming back and pass it along.
